The client is a leading technology company located in the middle east. We were given the task of developing a iPhone app that would showcase all the Arabic content put out on the client’s website. The customer was particular about the having a single admin panel with permission to update content on the website and the iPhone app.
Challenges We Faced
We had to design and deploy a mechanism which updated the content on the app as and when changes were made to the website, and on a real time basis. This was our biggest challenge. In addition, integration of easy online payments, ensuring international app development standards and meeting deadlines were some of the other challenges we faced with this project.
What We Rolled In
Migration of the Website to a Mobile Platform
We first ported the content of the website that was in Arabic and hosted on WordPress, to the iOS Platform. We took care to ensure consistency of the information layout, so that iPhone users could get the same kind of user experience as web users. Next, our developers focused on configuring the app with data stream network to accommodate real-time data flow seamlessly.
Integration of Smooth Online Payment gateway
We integrated an online payment system that was smooth and consistent in performance. All security and compliance requirements were taken into account while integrating. Besides, we ensured the payment gateway delivered the right kind of experience to all customers.
Maintain International Standards
Since that the app was being developed for the iOS platform, we followed the native platform guidelines for maximum quality. These included keeping in mind issues like screen size, scalability, call to actions, fonts, dialogs, toggles etc. This helped us deliver an app that directly addressed customer requirements first.
